Last days in Engelberg

It feels a bit sad that the season already has come to an end! I’m leaving Engelberg on Friday, but hopefully I have a trip to Riksgränsen in May to look forward to. So right now I’m trying to make the most of the last days here with as much skiing as possible. The past few days have been full of skiing and hiking with good friends, which means good times! Don’t forget to click the pictures for captions!

And you should also check out Johan Jonssons blog for more great pictures from Sunday!

Trip to Mont Blanc

Went on a trip to the Mont Blanc valley for a couple of days. Drove from Engelberg on Sunday and stayed in Chamonix until Wednesday. Got really good weather and really bad snow, but got to ski one day in Courmayeur and one day in Chamonix. So I’m happy! I don’t really have the energy to write a lot, but we had a great time! Here’s a bunch of pictures.

The famous Chamonix powder!

Beautful valley!

Chosed to use the small car to Italy.

On the road again, heading back to Engelberg.

Short edit

I´m really bad at using my gopro camera. It’s too old and too heavy and I can’t afford to buy a new one:) So I don’t get a lot of video material. Yesterday anyway I made a short edit from a good day a while ago, with powder and sunshine in Engelberg. Nothing spectacular, just some fun riding. Enjoy!

Big late update from Engelberg

Way too long since my last update. I guess the reason is that except for a couple of days the conditions have been pretty far from perfect in Engelberg during the past three weeks. I’ve of course been skiing a lot anyway, but it’s not very inspiring to put a lot of effort in trying to get decent pictures!  Therefore my blog has suffered. It’s about one month left of the season, so now I’ll shape up and keep updating!

I got a really nice surprise last Wednesday. I was working at Ski Lodge, and all of a sudden Stina walked in! I had no idea she was coming, so it was a huge and positive surprise for sure!

So the last few weeks has been full of ”fostrande” skiing and working, one sad evening when Barcelona beat my dear AC Milan in CL, a nice dinner with Stina at Ski Lodge, one day guiding for X-Travel (hope to do that more in the future), planning the summer at home in Jönköping and talking to a couple of possible future sponsors!

The snow forecast looks really promising at the moment, so we’ll hopefully manage to get some more good pictures here the coming days. Here’s a bunch from the past weeks! As usual, make sure to click the pictures for captions.

Sunshine skiing

Bad snow pretty much every where in Engelberg right now. But still really fun to ski! Stinas father and younger brother William are here for a few days at the moment so today me and William were playing around at Brunni. And he got one really great picture of me doing a lincoln. The Whitedot Redeemer is such a fun ski! So easy and playful.

Photo session at Brunni

Life’s good here in Engelberg! Good snow, great weather an a lot of riding with good friends! I’m also working quit a lot at the moment which is the reason for the lack of update on the blog lately. Sorry!

On Monday me and Björn Arnemo brought the camera and went to Brunni. We got company from Melanie as well, a really good snowboarder working at Ski Lodge. It turned out to be a really fun day with great pictures as a result! Here you go!

Another great day!

Came down from the mountain a little while ago. Days like this are always the best. We went up without any expectations, but the snow was really good, beautiful weather on the mountain with a big cloud below 2000 meter. Great company and skiing on the Whitedot Redeemer made it a day to remeber.

Didn’t bring the big camera today, so here’s two iPhone pics instead! Now off to work at Ski Lodge Engelberg.

Mystical light in the cloud. Melanie showing off!

Back in Engelberg

I’m back in Engelberg since a couple of days. Had a really fun day skiing yesterday with clear blue sky and pretty good snow, and a managed to improve my small freestyle skills a lot! We also organized our own Harlem Shake, Engelberg edition! Check it out here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X0GbMGd0nV

Right before I went to Sweden me, Jakob and Björn had a great day of shooting here in Engelberg. Here are the best pictures, and for once I’m actually the man behind the camera!

Jakob doing exactly as I told him! One more time! Björn looks good in the sunshine.

A new secret spot found!

Feels really nice to be home for a few days. Great to meet Stina, family and friends again, and wonderful to hang out in our flat here. It’s slightly better than Chuchichästli in Engelberg:)

Last friday Björn, Jannike, Nina, Erik and myself went for a day trip to a small place Jannike had heard of. We drove a few kilometres and rode up with a lift. Up there we had to walk for about 40 minutes before we reached the lonely chair lift we aimed for. Hardly any people except for us, really fun terrain and loads of snow made it such a fun day! I have never had so much trouble breathing while skiing!

Heres a few pictures from one of the funniest days so far this season! All photos by Björn Arnemo.A lot of snow on the car in the morning!

I'm getting a long flight down towards the lift.
